PhDr.Tereza Ševčíková
Get to know me a little better
I am a doctor of psychology and an accredited psychotherapist, and a full member of the Czech Association for Psychotherapy (ČAP). I studied at Charles University in Prague, the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and City College of San Francisco in the United States. I completed my training in Vedic meditation under the Australian teacher Tim Mitchell. I began my career as a social therapist at the Eset Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Clinic. I taught modern psychology at a high school in Prague, worked as a counselor in diagnostic institutions for youth, and also worked in the field of occupational psychology at international and Czech companies. I collaborate with Czech Television and Czech Radio, occasionally give lectures and publish articles for the general public, and am a co-author of several books for both children and adults. Over the past fifteen years, I have been intensively developing a private psychotherapy practice for adult clients, offering individual and couples psychotherapy.
I love traveling the world, especially the U.S., where I lived for several years. I look forward to eventually convincing my twelve-year-old daughter and ten-year-old son to join me on the Camino de Santiago, even if it means leaving behind the “makeup,” Star Wars, and our pet rabbit Jesse. I like it when things move along smoothly so I can then enjoy the results. I can sit for up to two hours over my morning coffee.
